Privacy Policy
This policy describes what information Lyra collects, how we use it, and your rights regarding it. We collect only what we need, hold it only as long as we need to, and never sell it.
What we collect
When you sign up for our email list:
- Your email address.
When you place an order:
- Your name and shipping address.
- Your email address and (optionally) phone number.
- The contents of your order.
- Payment details, processed and stored by our payment processor. Lyra does not see or store full card numbers.
When you use the site:
- Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited).
- A small set of analytics events to understand how the site is used, collected by Cloudflare Web Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics. Both are privacy-first: they do not use cookies, do not fingerprint your device, and do not build a profile of you across other websites.
- If we are running advertising, a Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixel that records page views and checkout starts so we can measure ads and show them to people who have visited us. You can limit this in your Meta ad settings, or block it with any standard tracker-blocking browser or extension.
How we use it
- To fulfill your order and send you order updates.
- To send you marketing emails if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- To respond to customer service requests.
- To improve the site and our products.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us run Lyra, and only with the minimum needed:
- Store and payment processor: Shopify and Shopify Payments, for checkout, order processing, payment authorization, and fraud prevention.
- Email service providers: EmailOctopus (newsletter list management) and Resend (transactional email delivery).
- Hosting: Vercel.
- Analytics: Cloudflare and Vercel, for aggregate site traffic measurement.
- Advertising: Meta, if and when we run ads.
- Shipping carrier: USPS, UPS, or FedEx, as required to deliver your order.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers.
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Lyra or others.
Cookies
The Lyra site uses minimal cookies, currently only those required for the site to function. We do not run third-party advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and notify users.
Data retention
- Marketing email lists: retained until you unsubscribe.
- Order records: retained for at least seven years for tax and accounting purposes.
- Customer service correspondence: retained for two years unless you request earlier deletion.
- Server logs: retained for ninety days.
Your rights
California residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information Lyra has collected about you.
- Request that we delete your personal information.
- Opt out of any sale of your personal information (we do not sell information).
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

Other US residents
If your state has a comprehensive privacy law, you have similar rights. Contact us using the address above.
Email subscribers
You can unsubscribe from any marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the message. Unsubscribing removes you from marketing emails but does not remove you from transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping notifications) for any active order.
Children
The Lyra site and Lyra products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under thirteen. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
International users
The Lyra site is hosted in the United States. If you are accessing it from outside the US, your information is processed in the US.
At soft launch, Lyra ships only within the United States. International shipping is not yet available.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be communicated by email to active subscribers.
