Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of lyracalifornia.com and your purchase of Lyra products. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract to purchase from Lyra. By placing an order you confirm both.

Accounts

Lyra does not require an account to browse or purchase. If account features are added in the future, additional terms specific to accounts will be posted here. You are responsible for the accuracy of any information you provide at checkout.

Orders and acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to purchase. Lyra accepts the offer when we send an order confirmation email. Until that point, no contract has formed.

Lyra may decline or cancel any order at our discretion. Reasons include but are not limited to: a pricing or inventory error, suspected fraud, a shipping address we cannot fulfill, or an order that exceeds reasonable personal-use quantities. If we cancel an accepted order, you receive a full refund.

You may cancel an order before it ships by emailing studio@lyracalifornia.com with your order number. Once the order has shipped, the refund policy applies.

Pricing and payment

Prices on the site are in US dollars. The price displayed at checkout is the price you pay, plus any applicable tax and shipping. Lyra may change prices on future products at any time. Price changes do not affect orders already accepted.

Sales tax is collected where required by law. Payment is processed by our third-party processor. Lyra does not store full card details.

Product information

We do our best to represent Lyra products accurately. Color, finish, and the appearance of black concrete and black wax may vary slightly from screen renderings due to display calibration and the handmade nature of each candle. Minor variation is part of the work, not a defect.

Burn time is an estimate based on testing under typical conditions. Actual burn time depends on use.

Safe use

Candles are open flames. Do not leave a lit candle unattended. Keep away from children, pets, drafts, and flammable materials. Burn on a heat-resistant surface. Trim the wick to a quarter-inch before each burn. Do not burn for more than three hours at a time. Discontinue use when one half-inch of wax remains in the vessel.

By purchasing, you agree to follow these instructions. Lyra is not liable for damage caused by misuse.

Intellectual property

The Lyra name, logo, photography, and copy are the property of Lyra. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without written permission. You may share photographs of Lyra products you have purchased on personal social media accounts.

User-generated content posted in connection with Lyra (reviews, social posts) may be reposted by Lyra with credit. You retain ownership.

Disclaimer of warranties

Lyra products are sold as-is. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not warrant the accuracy of every detail on the site.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Lyra's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the site or purchase of a product is limited to the amount you paid for the product in question.

Lyra is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Lyra harmless from any claim arising from your misuse of a Lyra product, your violation of these terms, or your violation of the rights of a third party.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute resolution

Most issues can be resolved by emailing studio@lyracalifornia.com. If a formal dispute arises related to your purchase, the Lyra site, or these terms, you and Lyra agree to resolve it through binding arbitration in California, on an individual basis. Class actions are waived to the extent allowed by law.

You retain the right to bring qualifying claims in California small claims court.

Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These terms, together with our privacy policy, refund policy, and shipping policy, are the entire agreement between you and Lyra regarding your use of the site and purchase of products.
